RAMMSTEIN To Perform In Korea
July 12, 2005According to The Korea Times, German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN will perform on August 10 at Olympic Park in eastern Seoul.
It will be the first Korean visit for the German band, which has earned recognition there with the song "Du Hast", featured in the Hollywood mega hit blockbuster "The Matrix".
In the concert, the band, which formed in 1994, will present not only its hit songs but also performances using lighting, special effects and stage settings. Tickets costs 77,000-88,000 won.
RAMMSTEIN are currently working on the follow-up to last year's "Reise Reise", tentatively titled "Reise, Reise (Vol.2)". The band recorded several songs during the sessions for "Reise, Reise" which were omitted from the CD's final track listing. During a recent session at a Berlin studio, RAMMSTEIN recorded several more tracks and are currently mixing the combined collection of new material for a full-length album, to be released in September.
Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga),"Reise Reise" (translated as "Voyage, Voyage" or "Journey, Journey") is the follow-up to "Mutter", which entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 77 back in April 2001.
"Reise Reise" sold 26,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release in mid-November 2004 to debut at position No. 61 on The Billboard 200 chart.
